Fourth, wisdom endowed with teaching is wisdom arisen from hearing. Fifth, wisdom endowed with realization is wisdom arisen from cultivation. Ce says: The first five distinguish hearing, reflection, and cultivation, phenomena and realization; the latter five distinguish the stages based on object, cause, endowment with teaching, and abiding. Among the latter five, the first two are objects: the first, subtle wisdom, awakens to and enters knowables because of the suchness of things, etc.
