10.522

測云：初五明知法差別，後四化益差別，後四為化愚癡等四有情故，如次示現教導讚勵慶慰。即是餘經中，所說示教利喜也。

Ce states: The first five explain knowledge of the differences among phenomena; the latter four explain differences in transforming and benefiting [beings]. Because the latter four are for transforming the four kinds of sentient beings—the foolish and so forth—one respectively demonstrates, guides, encourages, and congratulates and consoles them. This is what is spoken of in other sūtras as demonstrating, instructing, encouraging, and delighting (saṃdarśana-samādāpana-samuttejana-sampraharṣaṇa).
