10.580

基云：言七種者，依二乘出離第一。遠師云：是聞慧也。以財等長養攝入聞慧遠離，是思慧也。第三、止，第四、觀。第五、捨，餘二大小根。

Ji says: "Regarding the 'seven kinds,' relying on the abandonment of the two vehicles is the first. Master Yuan says: 'This is the wisdom arisen from hearing. Nourishing through wealth and so forth and gathering [them] into the wisdom arisen from hearing, and seclusion, is the wisdom arisen from reflection. The third is śamatha, the fourth is vipaśyanā, the fifth is equanimity, and the remaining two are the great and small faculties.'"
