故八十九卷云：復次一切煩惱皆有其纏，由現行者悉名纏故。然有八種，諸隨煩惱於四時中數數現行。是故唯立八種為纏，謂於修學增上戒時無慚無愧數數現行能為障礙。若於修學增上四時惛沈睡眠數數現行能為障礙，若同法者展轉受用財及法，嫉妬慳悋數數現行能為障礙。

"Therefore, fascicle 89 states: 'Furthermore, all afflictions possess entanglements, because whatever is actively manifest is called an entanglement. However, there are eight kinds of secondary afflictions that manifest frequently across four occasions. Therefore, only eight kinds are established as entanglements: namely, when cultivating and training in higher morality, shamelessness and lack of conscience manifest frequently and can cause obstruction. When cultivating and training in higher [concentration and wisdom] across the four occasions, torpor and sleepiness manifest frequently and can cause obstruction. When fellow practitioners of the Dharma mutually enjoy wealth and Dharma, jealousy and stinginess manifest frequently and can cause obstruction.'"
