第四善知論者，景云：此即有四：初一、聞慧；第二、則於已下，次辯思慧；第三、如是知法知義已下，溫故不忘即用念與精進為體；第四、又為了知已下，知新亦通聞思。

Regarding the fourth, skill in knowing treatises, Jing says: This comprises four parts: first, wisdom arisen from hearing; second, from 'then upon...' onward, it next explains wisdom arisen from thinking; third, from 'having known dharma and meaning in this way...' onward, warming up the old and not forgetting it takes mindfulness and vigor as its essence; fourth, from 'further, in order to fully comprehend...' onward, knowing the new also pertains to both hearing and thinking.
