The commentary on the *Daśabhūmikā-śāstra* explains: The characteristics of purifying Buddha-lands are of seven kinds: (1) characteristic of identity; (2) purity of mastery; (3) purity of adornment; (4) purity of enjoyment; (5) purity of the sentient beings dwelling therein; (6) purity of the cause; (7) purity of the fruit. As extensively explained there. In the *Daśabhūmika-sūtra*, the eighth aspiration is to attain the same mind and same practice as all bodhisattvas, jointly gathering roots of good, without enmity or jealousy, because of viewing all bodhisattvas equally. The ninth is the aspiration that the three karmas never be exhausted. The tenth is the aspiration to accomplish bodhi.
