11.259

今更有釋：滅相約位雖在過去而假立為相者，猶在現在將滅之時生必滅故，表此現法後無為此法滅相也。以此義故一剎那具有四相。

Now there is another explanation: Although in terms of position the characteristic of cessation is in the past, it is nominally established as a characteristic because while still in the present and on the verge of cessation, that which arises must inevitably cease; this indicates that the subsequent non-existence of this present phenomenon is the characteristic of cessation for this phenomenon. Due to this meaning, a single kṣaṇa completely possesses the four characteristics.
