11.264

前中，云何以故乃至無別有餘生老住滅者，基云：何故如此不同？復舉四相者，以攝法遮法故。若攝法互攝故，唯有言諸行生乃至諸行住老滅。若遮法須遮，別有四相體故。法遍遮故，通舉四相也。

In the former, regarding "Why is this? ... up to ... there is no separate other arising, aging, persisting, or ceasing": [Kui]ji says: Why is it distinct like this? The four characteristics are brought up again because of subsuming phenomena and excluding phenomena. If subsuming phenomena, because they mutually subsume, one merely speaks of the arising of conditioned phenomena, up to the persisting, aging, and ceasing of conditioned phenomena. If excluding phenomena, one must exclude the separate entities of the four characteristics. Because phenomena are universally excluded, the four characteristics are comprehensively brought up.
