11.40

又自性名合差別名離，又合者即令此義相符。如因明中合等，若離者令此義別。如因明中離等，一、作寶想難得義故者，教法難得。二、作眼想者，由法開導得廣大慧因，如眼導引能有所得，亦可教法開導能生慧眼，是眼因故名作眼想，因受果名。三、作明想。

Furthermore, intrinsic nature is called 'agreeing,' and particular differences are called 'disagreeing.' Also, 'agreeing' means causing this meaning to conform, like the application (upanaya) in Buddhist logic; 'disagreeing' means causing this meaning to differ, like the negative instance in Buddhist logic. Regarding 'first, conceiving the idea of a jewel because it is difficult to obtain,' the doctrinal Dharma is difficult to obtain. Regarding 'second, conceiving the idea of an eye,' because the Dharma guides one to obtain the cause of vast wisdom, just as an eye provides guidance so that one can obtain things; or it can also mean that the guidance of the doctrinal Dharma can generate the eye of wisdom, and because it is the cause of the eye it is called 'conceiving the idea of an eye'—the cause receiving the name of the effect. 'Third, conceiving the idea of light.'
