言得入第八純清淨住，基云：以有漏心隔故名雜，純無漏名純淨，此八地上相續家釋，七地有功用故名雜，八地無故名純。

Regarding "attaining entry into the eighth, purely pristine abode," Ji says: Because tainted minds intervene, it is called "mixed"; being purely untainted, it is called "purely pristine." This is the explanation of the continuity school regarding the eighth stage and above: because the seventh stage has effort, it is called "mixed"; because the eighth stage is free of it, it is called "pure."
