第二解障治，靜慮解脫雜染有二種清淨有四種與上相違應知其相者，雜染二種中，各有二故四，初染二者，一、無巧加行；二、諸蓋現前。第二染二者：一、自地煩惱纏；二、自地隨眠，治此四染故清淨有四。

Second, explaining obstacles and remedies: "Regarding defilement in dhyāna and liberation, there are two kinds; purification has four kinds; one should know their characteristics as being contrary to the above." Within the two kinds of defilement, each has two, hence four. The two of the first defilement are: 1. lack of skillful preparation; 2. the hindrances becoming manifest. The two of the second defilement are: 1. afflictive entanglements of one's own stage; 2. latent tendencies of one's own stage. Because they remedy these four defilements, purifications are four.
