若從他信乃至種種勝解者，此明勝解力所緣。如此勝解或從他信或自觀察，即成三品愛樂，印解決定，名為勝解。舊名欲也。

"Whether from faith in others... up to... diverse inclinations": this clarifies the cognitive object of the power of [knowing] inclinations. Such inclination is either from faith in others or from personal investigation; thus it becomes three grades of aspiration, definitive resolution, which is termed inclination (adhimukti). In older translations it was named desire (chanda).
