定力中，言三神變者，一、神足神變，云現種種令他生信；二、記心神變，即他心通記，說有情善惡心念令其歸伏；三、教誡神變，即漏盡通，自證漏盡復為他說令證漏盡，及能降伏等者，即前神足神變降伏不信，他心神變降伏憍慢，漏盡神變降伏有情煩惱相違異品怨害諍論。

Regarding the power of concentration, as for the "three transformations": first, the transformation of psychic power, which refers to manifesting various [forms] to cause others to generate faith; second, the transformation of mind-reading, which is using telepathic cognition to discern and state the good and evil mental intentions of sentient beings so as to subdue them; third, the transformation of instruction, which is the cognition of the exhaustion of taints, wherein having personally realized the exhaustion of taints, one further expounds it for others to cause them to realize the exhaustion of taints. And as for "and being able to subdue...", the aforementioned transformation of psychic power subdues lack of faith; the telepathic transformation subdues arrogance; and the transformation of the exhaustion of taints subdues the disputations, enmities, and adversities associated with the afflictions of sentient beings.
