From 'having thus...' onward, the sixth section explains the pliancy of the mind. According to the Dilun, there are ten minds: 1. a mind of moistening and benefiting; 2. a warm mind; 3. a disciplined mind; 4. a secure and joyful mind; 5. an untainted mind; 6. a mind progressively seeking increasingly superior practices; 7. an increasingly superior gnosis mind; 8. a mind that seeks for the sake of the world; 9. a mind of reverence toward masters and compliant acceptance of instruction; 10. a mind of practicing according to the heard Dharma. Now, in this treatise there are three clauses: 1. 'moistening and soft' generally subsumes the first three minds (or, 'moistening' is the first mind of moistening and benefiting, 'soft' is the second warm mind, and 'harmonious' is the third disciplined mind); 2. 'possessing capability' subsumes the secure, joyful, and untainted minds; 3. 'its mind turns again to various modes of activity that are all well purified' subsumes the latter five minds.
