12.66

依自內智此第二句，謂以教大乘種姓眾生，大乘種姓眾生是佛自乘，故名依自內智。依俱處所此第三句，謂前二是別教，此一句是總教，大小二乘為此二乘別總人等說四諦名為此說。

Regarding 'based on internal personal gnosis': this second clause means teaching sentient beings of the Mahāyāna gotra; because sentient beings of the Mahāyāna gotra belong to the Buddha's own vehicle, it is called 'based on internal personal gnosis.' Regarding 'based on both loci': this third clause means that the previous two are specific teachings, while this one clause is a general teaching; teaching the four truths for these specific and general persons of both the Great and Lesser Vehicles is called 'spoken of in this way.'
