12.70

依於現在眾苦自性等者，此兩門智所緣境，如此說者，此四諦道理有佛無佛性相常住實法分別智觀，即此四諦差別說十諦為教化眾生方便智。

Regarding 'based on the intrinsic nature of the manifold present sufferings, etc.': these are the objective domains of these two gates of gnosis. Regarding 'spoken of in this way': this principle of the four truths, whether Buddhas exist or not, is the gnosis contemplating the real dharmas whose nature and characteristics eternally abide; namely, these four truths are differentiated into the ten truths as the expedient gnosis for teaching and transforming sentient beings.
