了別外無分別器相者，乃至器世間相等者，補闕云：賴耶內持外共相種，生外世界無有間斷，即是依內外得成。今第二問：但了所生外器世界，故云謂能乃至器世界相，能生共種。前問已了，譬如乃至外發光明者焰喻本識，膏炷喻共相種子，外發光明諸處遍滿喻器世界。

Regarding 'discerning the undifferentiated aspect of the external vessel' up to 'the aspect of the vessel world,' Buque says: The ālaya internally holds the common-characteristic seeds of the external [world], giving rise to the external world without interruption; that is, the external is established depending on the internal. Now the second question asks: Discerning only the produced external vessel world, hence it says, 'meaning being able to [discern] up to the aspect of the vessel world, able to give rise to common seeds.' The previous question has already explained this: 'Just as... radiating light externally'; the flame illustrates the root consciousness, the oil and wick illustrate the common-characteristic seeds, and the external radiation of light permeating all places illustrates the vessel world.
