問：若爾，如論諸處說第四禪外器，雖無三災壞而隨身生滅，所隨生滅器，既是共相果，如何者滅時，以一切時任運緣故，下諸界地理雖應然，且據四禪論不明故？

Question: If so, as the treatises say in various places that the external vessel of the fourth dhyāna, though not destroyed by the three calamities, arises and ceases in accordance with the body, since the vessel that arises and ceases accordingly is a fruition of common characteristics, how can it be extinguished if it is spontaneously taken as an object at all times? Although the lower realms and stages ought by reason to be like this, for now the discussion regarding the fourth dhyāna is not clear.
