義曰：第六尚起一切境解，末那何妨，此義為正，又緣見分為我，緣相分為所，諸餘二數有論文相應，或準與十九數相應等。

The doctrinal interpretation states: If even the sixth [consciousness] can give rise to cognitive comprehensions of all objects, what is to prevent the manas [from doing so]? This interpretation is the orthodox one. Furthermore, it takes the perceiving aspect (darśanabhāga) as the self, and takes the perceived aspect (nimittabhāga) as what belongs to self. As for the remaining two mental factors, there are passages in the treatise stating their conjunction, or conforming to its conjunction with nineteen mental factors, and so forth.
