The exposition states: In principle, that which has no commonality is entirely transformed by one's own eighth [consciousness], and others do not use it; here, based on similarity, just as that which is used exclusively by oneself has no use for others and is called the uncommon within the uncommon, so although that which is transformed by oneself in the external vessel world is not used by others, there is a similarity in its use, which is called common karma because it is said to be used in common. The remaining two phrases should be explained accordingly. Here, it also refers to the meaning of transforming the actual faculties and so forth of another’s body.
