Kuiji said: Stating the two explanations of the Tripiṭaka Master [Xuanzang]. One says: 'Like an alms-seeker' is identical to Master Jing's first explanation. The second says: Receiving another's wealth and practicing giving—namely, re-gifting—while the Dharma-donor's giving is understood; furthermore, in order to overcome one's own stinginess, one enjoys wealth oneself, the recipient relinquishing to their own body, called 'the recipient's relinquishing-giving', or giving to one's own servants, which are both due to the mind of giving; because of this, in the future one obtains wealth and again enjoys it oneself as the commensurate fruit of decisive resolve. Second, giving to others attains great wealth. Furthermore, the two previous types of giving, as explained before, both attain great wealth as the fruit of retribution; within that, stinginess still being able to be enjoyed is called the commensurate fruit.
