13.40

我於凡、愚、不開演者，此一句第三正明不說。景云：曾於增一阿含亦總為說名喜樂愛習著等，恐增分別人法二執，而不為彼子細開演。

Regarding "to the ordinary and the foolish, I do not reveal it": this single line is the third [part], directly clarifying that it is not taught. Jing says: "Once in the Ekottarika Āgama, he also taught it in general terms, calling it liking, delight, pleasure, attachment, and the like; fearing that they would increase their conceptual clinging to the two selves of person and phenomena, he did not elaborate and reveal it in detail for them."
