Regarding harmony (sāmagrī)—Jing says: Because it accomplishes an affair as a unity. Neither the Abhidharma nor the Yogācāra explains disharmony. The Tripiṭaka Master says: Disharmony is merely provisionally established on phenomena of the dispersion of causes and fruits; the Sarvāstivāda school, apart from the fourteen non-associated formations, separately establishes a harmony, saying that harmony and disharmony are precisely attainment and non-attainment, maturation and non-maturation; within this non-attainment, the nature of non-attainment of all phenomena is comprehensively subsumed, meaning the nature of an ordinary being, the nature of regression, obstructive faculties, disharmony, discordance, and so on; because contact can further harmonize the three factors, it specifically clarifies that contact is the condition of harmony.
