14.140

雜染中，補闕云：一、於現法中受用境界門者，現行因時耽現五塵識被雜染。二、於後法中，由生老等門者，後果熟時由生老死等增諸煩惱識被染污。基云：初是煩惱染，後是生染，又後是業染，業染故未來生等成染。

In [the section on] defilement, the Supplement states: First, the gateway of experiencing sense-spheres in the present life: during the cause of active manifestation, indulging in the five present sense-objects, consciousness becomes defiled. Second, in a future life, through the gateway of birth, aging, and so forth: when the future fruit ripens, through birth, aging, death, and so forth, all afflictions increase, and consciousness becomes defiled. Ji says: The first is defilement by affliction, the second is defilement by birth; alternatively, the second is defilement by karma, and because of defilement by karma, future birth and so forth become defiled.
