Explanation: Retributive form is coarse/sparse, and accommodates the nourished faculties and great elements within, just as water in sand is of a different nature and category, and separated by locus; hence they cannot be called inseparable in the same locus. Because the two faculties, two great elements, and two kinds of four dusts—retributive and nourished—mutually obstruct one another and do not mutually interpenetrate throughout. The retributive great element and the retributive faculty and dusts mutually interpenetrate in their own substances, occupying the same locus; the nourished earth great element and the nourished faculty and dusts mutually interpenetrate in themselves, which is called inseparable in the same locus. Because two earth great elements by their nature obstruct each other, and two forms, two fragrances, etc., also obstruct each other, retributive and nourished [forms] cannot be [completely] inseparable so as to be called inseparable in the same locus.
