As the sūtra says: "There are the Equal-Minded Devas, etc." The Tripiṭaka Master says: The sūtra cited here merely proves that the retribution-matter of the form realm is called operating with mastery; they are the assembly of the Pure Abodes, named Equal-Minded Devas. When those devas come to the Buddha's presence to listen to the Dharma, their bodies are sixteen thousand yojanas tall, and every one of them dwells within the space of a single hair's tip, their bodies interpenetrating without hindering one another, just as the lights of lamps do not obstruct each other; it is also like the Bodhisattva Boundless Body at the cremation site. Alternatively, above the five Pure Abodes, there is the place where tenth-stage bodhisattvas are born, called the Equal-Minded Heaven; because their minds have mastery, they have mastery over matter: when in the small, they are small; when in the large, they are large; the place where they gather and dwell is like the point of an awl.
