測云：業所作者，上明大種與所造色前後生義。由業增上緣及名言種子故，初受生時先起地大以造身根及以眼等。由此大力故六處位時眼等四根方得生。

Ce says: Regarding 'produced by karma', the above explains the meaning of great elements and derived forms arising sequentially. Due to the predominant condition of karma and nominal seeds, at the initial moment of taking rebirth, the earth element first arises to derive the body faculty, eye, and so forth. Due to the force of this great element, at the stage of the six sense bases, the four faculties such as the eye are only then able to arise.
