14.327

初云當知大種，先據處，後餘造色，依此處轉等者，此據能依所依門。業生報時起大種為所依故，俱時即有造色，造色是能依故，故云餘造色依此處轉，非異時也。一地大起礙，餘地大不得重生，稱地大量造色依此處轉，非異時遍滿，由彼大勢任持造色有所據礙，餘大造色不得重生。

The first says: 'It should be known that the great elements first occupy space, and subsequently the remaining derived forms evolve relying on this space', and so forth: this is based on the gate of the supported and the support. When karma generates retribution, it raises the great elements as the support; therefore simultaneously there are derived forms; because derived forms are the supported, it says 'the remaining derived forms evolve relying on this space', not at a different time. When one earth element produces obstruction, other earth elements cannot arise again; conforming to the measure of the earth element, derived forms evolve relying on this space, not pervasively filling it at a different time; because the force of that element sustains derived forms, possessing occupation and obstruction, other great elements and derived forms cannot arise again.
