Listing the six kinds of natures of the domain of activity still has the meaning of the sensory realm being directly present; furthermore, the third fascicle of the Maulī Bhūmiḥ listed the names without explaining them, which will be explained below. Ce says: First, length, shortness, and the like are established based on manifest color, hence called 'by basis'; second, manifest colors such as blue have real substantial characteristics, hence called 'by characteristic'; third, the varieties of material objects produced in various directions are distinct; fourth, colors produced in the four seasons; fifth, as colors on a clear day can be seen due to light, whereas the substances of the colors of the sun and moon have illumination and do not depend on other light, so they are not clearly seen; sixth, some material objects can only be known by seeing the whole part, while some material objects have their color known by seeing only a small part.
