From 'by how many causes and conditions' onward, it successively explains in detail. First, it explains that the faculties are unimpaired, meaning by two causes, by emaciation/deterioration, and so forth, as in the second [fascicle of the] Maulī [Bhūmiḥ]. Regarding 'Furthermore, in brief, through four conditions, the various faculties are transformed,' and so forth: good first and bad later, or bad first and good later, are all called 'transformation'.
