In the first part, for the fleshly eye, it says that a realm that is neither closed nor dark is called directly present. For the divine eye, it says that whether light or dark, both are called directly present, which means that even if closed, it is also called directly present; if closed, it is not called directly present for the fleshly eye, and darkness should also be like this, because closing has fog/obscuration, and having an obstruction is not distant—as the third [fascicle of the] Maulī [Bhūmiḥ states], obstructions are of four kinds, differing in quantity from the ear and other faculties.
