Regarding 'the four aspects under origin, because of the existence of the four cravings, and so forth': Jing says: The four cravings are the essence of the truth of origin; based on the essence of the truth of origin in these four cravings, the four aspects of origin are established. This establishes the four aspects of origin—cause, origin, arising, and condition—in overall correspondence with the number four; one cannot say that the aspect of cause contemplates a specific craving, up to the aspect of condition contemplating a specific craving, because each of those four cravings possesses the four principles of cause, origin, arising, and condition.
