15.151

又愛云何？謂於自體，親眤藏護者，此明獨愛，愛現自身而起親眤，現身起藏護，總後有愛求當自體，餘之二愛著現未五塵。泰云：我愛獨立為愛體，故名獨愛。

Regarding 'Moreover, what is craving? It means, with respect to the personal entity, intimacy, concealment, and protection': this explains solitary craving; craving one's own present body, intimacy arises, and toward the present body one gives rise to concealment and protection. In sum, craving for subsequent existence seeks a future personal entity, while the other two cravings cling to the five sensory data of the present and the future. Tai says: Craving for self stands independently as the essence of craving, hence it is called solitary craving.
