15.162

測云：如遺教經云：今此眾中若未渡苦海者，見佛滅度當有非滅，已度苦海者，作如是念世尊滅度一何疾哉，以此證知有煩惱者，得有壞苦。

Ce states: As the Yijiao jing says, "Among this assembly today, if there are those who have not crossed the ocean of suffering, seeing the Buddha's extinction, they will hold that this should not be an extinction; those who have already crossed the ocean of suffering will give rise to this thought: 'How swift is the World-Honoured One's extinction!'" By this testimony we know that those who possess afflictions are subject to the suffering of change.
