In the third [section], explaining the mutual subsumption of the eight sufferings and the three sufferings: "Furthermore, the first seven are subsumed by the suffering of suffering" because at the time of separation from what is loved and not getting what is sought, the suffering of suffering is also produced; hence the first seven sufferings are all subsumed by the suffering of suffering. As for "those who do not diligently remedy pure and sublime afflictions": craving grasps the pure and defiled simultaneously, causing the mind to alter and be destroyed; alteration and destruction are suffering, hence it is called the suffering of change. Furthermore, because craving can alter and destroy the mind, causing one to experience future suffering, it is called the suffering of change. As for "the final suffering is subsumed by the suffering of conditioned existence": the appropriated aggregates are conditioned formations, and formations carry coarseness and insecurity. Furthermore, the first seven sufferings are comprehensively included within what is subsumed by the eighth, the appropriated aggregates; hence the first seven sufferings are also called the suffering of conditioned existence.
