勝軍師以為證種生現行不同時文，今以現行眼為界勝故無過，亦應外塵中作得眼不得色等小四句，謂眼不變為色時是得眼不得色，無眼者唯有第八相色故得色不得眼，二俱成就，二不成等。四明同分彼同分。

Master Jayasena took this text as evidence that the seed producing active manifestation is not simultaneous. Now, taking the actively manifested eye as the realm is superior, so there is no fault. One should also formulate lesser fourfold propositions within external sense-data, such as "obtaining the eye but not obtaining form," meaning that when the eye does not transform into form, this is obtaining the eye but not obtaining form; those without eyes possess only the eighth consciousness's objective form, hence they obtain form but not the eye; both are constituted; both are unconstituted, and so on.
