處所去來時方隔越義，是遠者，景云：處所，遠如天竺震旦，彼處此據隔故遠。去來時者，過去遠現在故遠，未來至現在故遠。

The meaning of spatial separation and temporal departure and arrival is "distant." Jing says: Regarding location, it is distant like India and China, being distant because that place and this place are separated. As for the time of departure and arrival: the past is distant because it is distant from the present; the future is distant because it has yet to arrive at the present.
