基、測等云：此通舉一身名色六處為無明等引因依處，非時分也。無明觸受為眾苦生因依處，即約時分。觸受為愛取等生因依處也。眾苦生因依處，亦出體解義結之。

Ji, Ce, and others say: this generally adduces the name-and-form and six bases of a single lifetime as the basis of the inducing causes for ignorance and the rest, not in terms of time periods. The contact and feeling of ignorance serve as the basis of the productive causes of all sufferings, which is stated in terms of time periods. Contact and feeling serve as the basis of the productive causes for craving, grasping, and so forth. For the basis of the productive cause of all sufferings, it also identifies the entity, explains the meaning, and concludes it.
