別釋中，云：謂於現法中名色為緣六入處生起者，於依處體。不斷不知至是名無明者，迷於六處故起無明，無明為緣起行乃至觸處，此解依處義也。此中已下，結依處也。

In the individual explanation, the text says: 'In the present life, conditioned by name-and-form, the six sense bases arise'—this identifies the entity of the basis. 'Unbroken and unknowing up to this is called ignorance' means that due to delusion regarding the six bases, ignorance arises; with ignorance as condition, volitional formation up to the contact base arises—this explains the meaning of the basis. From here onward, it concludes the basis.
