Fourth, regarding designated and real: according to the first fascicle of the Abhidharma[-samuccaya], non-delusion takes innate, heard, contemplated, and cultivated wisdom of discerning discernment as its essence, and takes non-permission of evil as its karma. This text seems to say that non-delusion is nominal (prajñapti), using wisdom among the specific objects to reveal the essence of non-delusion. The Tripiṭaka Master says: Citing associated wisdom reveals the essence of non-delusion; since the twenty-two faculties do not subsume the wholesome root of non-delusion, we know there is another textual source, where the text states that the three dharmas are nominal.
