Third is the section specifically distinguishing the grasped object, which has twelve propositions. The object of the male and female faculties is associated with sensual desire, and therefore is subsumed under touch: that is, because body-consciousness is associated with sensual desire, tangible dust is its object. The five feeling faculties arise following the six faculties of the eye and the rest, and thus take dust as their cognitive object.
