16.152

并前說一分者，謂七色苦餘意根等，體在現在一分以現在為義。又此一分在未來，以過未現為義者，又一分意根等在未來，當起緣於三世。若諸色根在未來，非未為義。苦根亦爾者，色根設起現在，不緣未來，故在未來不以未來為義。

Regarding 'together with the one portion stated before': this refers to the seven physical faculties, suffering, and the remaining mind faculty and so forth, a portion of whose substance in the present has the present as its object. Regarding 'furthermore, this one portion, being in the future, has the past, future, and present as its object': another portion, consisting of the mind faculty and so forth, in the future when about to arise takes the three times as its object. Regarding 'if the physical faculties are in the future, they do not have the future as their object; and the faculty of suffering is likewise': even if the physical faculties were to arise in the present, they do not take the future as their object; therefore, being in the future, they do not have the future as their object.
