二、辨合會門。有六復次。第二云麁分水火者，簡水中熱觸細火也。如火炭質麁火，即不與水俱故也。第四、五者，無處無位同一眼識種類二心王二受二相等俱時合會。又復無一眼識俱時有善不善苦樂合會。

Second: Analyzing the approach of conjunction. There are six subsections. The second mentions "coarse divisions of water and fire", which excludes the subtle fire of warm tangibility within water. For instance, coarse fire like the substance of burning charcoal does not co-occur with water. The fourth and fifth state that in no place and on no occasion do two mind kings, two feelings, two conceptualizations, and so forth of the same category of visual consciousness conjoin at the same time. Furthermore, in no single visual consciousness do wholesome, unwholesome, suffering, and pleasure conjoin at the same time.
