四、約惑業辨故。景云：九根最勝惑業依者，謂七色根、意根及命根。此九根是生死依故，由迷生死起諸惑業。五根起煩惱業者，五受根。

Fourth, distinguishing in terms of affliction and karma. Jing says: The bases of the most supreme affliction and karma among the nine faculties are the seven physical faculties, the mental faculty, and the life faculty. Because these nine faculties are the bases of saṃsāra, through delusion concerning saṃsāra one gives rise to the various afflictions and karmas. The five faculties giving rise to karma of affliction are the five feeling faculties.
