16.430

前中，基云：言隨順者是總句，或尋伺睡眠等體非煩惱順，故名煩惱。或謂別境中，數與煩惱煩惱俱行者，謂隨煩惱，由四相俱行故，名隨煩惱。煩惱品類者，即忿恨等，如下文是諸品類等也。

Within the former, Ji says: 'The phrase "accompanying" is an overarching phrase; alternatively, [phenomena like] investigation, reflection, sleep, and so forth are in their essential nature not defilements, yet because they conform to them they are named defilements. Alternatively, it means that among the determinate mental factors, those that frequently co-arise with defilements are called secondary defilements, because by co-arising with them in the four characteristics they are named secondary defilements. "Categories of defilements" refers to wrath, resentment, and so forth, as the text below states: "these various categories," and so on.'
