論云「若有隨順如是煩惱、俱行煩惱、品類」等者，隨順者，是總句。或尋、伺、睡眠等，體非煩惱，順故名煩惱。或謂別境中數。　「與煩惱俱行」者，隨煩惱由四相俱行故，名隨煩惱。　「煩惱品類」者，即忿、恨等，如下文，是謂品類等也。

Regarding the treatise statement: "If there are conformities to such afflictions, co-nascent afflictions, categories," and so forth: "conformities" is an overarching phrase. Or [it refers to] vitarka, vicāra, sleep, and the like; their substance is not an affliction, but because they conform, they are called afflictions. Or it refers to the mental factors among the particular objects. Regarding "co-nascent with afflictions": secondary afflictions (upakleśa) are called secondary afflictions because they are co-nascent through the four characteristics. Regarding "categories of afflictions": these are precisely wrath, resentment, and so forth, as in the text below; this is what is meant by "categories," and so forth.
