前中，云一、由纏者莫問本隨，但是現起悉名為纏。二、隨眠者，本隨種子，此名隨眠。現行已下，有二復次解隨眠，二名差別。後之復次問於藏論中上座義也。

Within the former, it says: 'First, through entanglements: regardless of root or secondary, whatever is actively manifest is called an entanglement. Second, dormant tendencies: the seeds of root and secondary defilements are called dormant tendencies. From "manifest activity" downwards, there are two further explanations of dormant tendencies and the distinctions between the two names. The latter explanation inquires into the Sthavira view in the Kośa.'
