七門者何？一、解貪欲；二、解貪愛為集諦相；三、解離欲；四、解計我等；五、解事欲以為苦因；六、解經說煩惱異名有其七句；七、釋貪等名不善根。

What are the seven gateways? 1. Explaining sensual desire; 2. Explaining craving as the characteristic of the truth of origin; 3. Explaining detachment from desire; 4. Explaining grasping at self and so forth; 5. Explaining desire for objective things as the cause of suffering; 6. Explaining that the sūtras state seven phrases of different names for afflictions; 7. Explaining greed and so forth as unwholesome roots.
