16.563

復有差別，謂善說法毘奈耶中有四法等者，景云：此中雖舉所障能障各四意取能障。一、計我我所者，障前四中第二於已同梵行所修可樂法；二、我慢者，障前第三於異論所不生增嫉，由有我慢於諸異論多生憎嫉；三、妄執諦取者，障前第二於諦簡擇；四、不斷隨眠者，障前第四於清淨品能不退失。

To the passage, 'There is also a distinction, namely that in the well-expounded Dharma-Vinaya there are four dharmas,' etc., Jing says: Although four things to be obstructed and four things that obstruct are each adduced here, the meaning takes the obstructing ones. First, grasping at self and mine obstructs the second of the previous four, [namely] the delightful dharmas cultivated among one's fellow practitioners of brahma-faring. Second, pride of self obstructs the third of the previous, [namely] not giving rise to hatred and jealousy toward different doctrines; due to having pride of self, one mostly gives rise to hatred and jealousy toward different doctrines. Third, falsely grasping and adhering to [one's view] as the truth obstructs the second of the previous, [namely] selecting among the truths. Fourth, not severing the dormant tendencies obstructs the fourth of the previous, [namely] being able not to regress from the class of purity.
