麁惡語中有十七句，總為八對。一、對面不面對；二、大眾幽處對；三、實過不實對；四、書表現相對；五、自說他說對；六、掉舉不靜對；七、族身作業對；八、自發他發對。

In harsh speech, there are seventeen phrases, comprising eight pairs in total: first, face-to-face versus not face-to-face; second, in public versus in private; third, real faults versus unreal faults; fourth, written expression versus direct manifestation; fifth, spoken by oneself versus spoken by others; sixth, with restlessness versus with calmness; seventh, based on lineage and body versus based on action; eighth, initiated by oneself versus initiated by others.
